Following the initial notifications of the COVID-19 pandemic and required measures for social distancing, our communities were flooded with new loans and grant applications to fill much needed funding gaps for small businesses and nonprofits alike. Five weeks in, new funds are being approved and new laws and provisions are being passed to support the relief provided by the Small Business Association (SBA) and the Paycheck Protection Plan (PPP).
